Moving Abroad Children

Last month outreach program was based on Nigagaha Kanishta Vidyalaya School in Bulatsinghala. Ex volunteer Anne funding in the United States to build a curry kitchen at this school to offer all students a free and delicious school lunch every day. Working
closely with the Ministry of Health, it is also an increased awareness for medical and dental problems create in disadvantaged community.

With the help of volunteer projects abroad, here in Sri Lanka, a dental Awareness campaign was launched at the school to life, where children and parents were invited along to learn about the importance of dental hygiene. The skills and enthusiasm Volunteers are key to making the day a success.

So, armed with boxes of materials and a busload of volunteers, we set out on the road for Bulatsinghala, arriving 1.5 hours after a bumpy ride, where we were held by some gymnasts happy to talk. When the temporary seen leaking kitchen building upon arrival, it became very clear why a permanent building kitchen is necessary here. Despite the apparent lack of institutions that have a great mothers Task of cooking a nutritious lunch for the children and volunteers.

After our lunch, got a spot of cricket the kids a little excited about it, but soon settled down when Furqan began his lecture on the importance of the teeth and why and how we keep it clean. Fun arts and crafts competition with the younger children. These were each group comes with a theme and then with a broad Range of materials that make a beautiful and creative collage. Flowers, butterflies and boats seemed to be the order of the day and despite the chaos surrounding them, their artistic Torch shone through in the finished collages. The most creative of all, perhaps, the boys who had decided her face and neck with colored glitter coverage (hilarious).

The day flew by and before we knew it was time for the kids at home. All adults and
Children were given free toothbrushes, toothpaste and mirrors, had kindly have been donated. We
had a quick ceremony for the winners Arts & Crafts teams, where prices were for the most original and beautiful creations excellent. We then got into our big old bus for our trip to a nearby hotel, where we began our projects abroad weekend.
